DM HELD MEETING ON ‘PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJ ALI YOJANA

BUXAR---------------------------A review meeting was held on Tuesday at the Electricity Supply Division, Buxar, with the aim of ensuring the effective implementation of the 'PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana' (Prime Minister's Solar House Free Electricity Scheme) and raising public awareness about it. The meeting was presided over by Surya Prakash Singh, Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department. Representatives from various solar vendors and companies operating in the district were present.

Discussions during the meeting focused on reaching the maximum number of people with the scheme, raising awareness, and addressing challenges related to its implementation. Executive Engineer Surya Prakash Singh stated that prompt solutions would be ensured for any issues related to the scheme so that beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience.

He remarked that this ambitious scheme by the Central Government is a significant step towards providing affordable and clean energy to the general public. Better coordination between the department and the vendors is essential for its successful operation.

Rajan Kumar Tiwari, a representative from Kanak Solar Energy, highlighted the environmental benefits of solar energy, noting that rooftop solar panels help reduce temperatures. He mentioned that the temperature-regulating effect of a single solar panel could be considered equivalent to that of approximately ten large trees.

Representatives from various solar companies also offered suggestions and shared ideas regarding the promotion of the scheme. Officials urged the public to gather information about the 'PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana' and avail themselves of its benefits.
