BUXAR----------------------A special awareness program was organized at Buxar Sadar Hospital on Tuesday to mark the successful completion of 10 years of the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA). The local MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) participated in the event and called for raising awareness regarding maternal and child health safety.

The program commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp by the Civil Surgeon and the Hospital Deputy Superintendent. During the event, the pledge to provide quality healthcare services to pregnant women and promote safe motherhood was reaffirmed.

Following the program, MLA Anand Mishra conducted a surprise inspection of Sadar Hospital. During the inspection, he assessed various healthcare facilities within the hospital, including the blood bank. He thoroughly reviewed aspects such as blood availability, cleanliness, maintenance, facilities provided to patients, and other health services.

Expressing serious concern over the shortcomings and systemic challenges observed during the inspection, the MLA directed the concerned officials to ensure prompt, effective, and sustainable improvements. He stated that providing superior quality healthcare services to patients visiting the hospital is a primary responsibility of the administration.

MLA Anand Mishra remarked that, as a public representative, it is his responsibility to regularly monitor healthcare institutions. He expressed confidence that the Health Department and hospital administration would prioritize the public interest and swiftly take necessary corrective measures.

He emphasized that healthy mothers, safe infants, and a robust healthcare system form the cornerstone of a developed society and a strong nation. His efforts towards public welfare and improved healthcare services will continue unabated.

On this occasion, BJP District Vice-President Puneet Singh, along with Naveen Rai, Akshay Ojha, Vinay Upadhyay, Rakesh Pandey, Shailesh Mishra, East City Mandal President Jwala Saini, and other party office-bearers, workers, and local dignitaries were present.
