DM GIVES NEW LIFE TO TWO ABANDONED CHILDREN

SASARAM-----------------------------District Magistrate Udita Singh facilitated the adoption of two abandoned children—a girl (aged 1 year and 2 months) and an infant (aged 9 months)—who were being cared for at the Specialised Adoption Agency in Sasaram, Rohtas. The girl was adopted by a couple from Darbhanga (Pusna Kerketta and Anjumala Topo), while the infant was adopted by a couple from Gaya (Ritik Raj and Ritu Kumari). The process was completed in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), New Delhi. The final adoption proceedings took place at the District Magistrate's office in the Collectorate; the District Magistrate issued the final adoption orders and extended best wishes to the adoptive parents.

On this occasion, she remarked that every child deserves a safe and loving family to ensure their proper development. The District Magistrate directed the District Child Protection Unit to continue working towards the rehabilitation of needy children and ensuring a better future for them, so that every child can lead their life in a safe environment. Officials present on the occasion included Vinita Kumari (Officer-in-Charge, District Legal Cell), Vikramaditya Pal (Senior Deputy Collector-cum-Assistant Director, District Child Protection Unit), Mithilesh Kumar (Child Protection Officer), the Coordinator of the Specialized Adoption Agency (Rohtas), and other officials.
