DM DIRECTS FOR PROMPT REDRESSAL

23-JUNE-ENG 3

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

SASARAM----------------------------A review meeting was held on Monday at the DRDA auditorium in the Rohtas Collectorate, presided over by District Magistrate (DM) Deepak Kumar Mishra and attended by heads of various departments and engineers. The meeting reviewed the progress of various ongoing development schemes in the district, and necessary directives were issued to the concerned officials.

Addressing the meeting, the DM stated that the "Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan" (Respect for All, Easier Life) campaign, part of the Bihar Government's 'Saat Nishchay-3' (Seven Resolves-3) initiative, is being effectively implemented in the district. Under this campaign, the presence of officials is being ensured every Monday and Friday at government offices—ranging from the Gram Panchayat, police station, and circle levels to the block, sub-division, and district levels—to facilitate the prompt redressal of citizens' grievances. He emphasized that listening to complainants' issues with sensitivity and resolving them quickly is the administration's top priority.

The DM informed that 'Sahyog Shivirs' (assistance camps) are being organized on a panchayat-wise basis on the first and third Tuesdays of every month, allowing the public to convey their problems, complaints, and suggestions directly to the administration. These camps are being continuously monitored at the level of the Chief Minister. He reported that out of 6,983 applications received so far in the district's assistance camps, 6,212 have been resolved, while 508 remain pending. Describing this progress as satisfactory, he instructed the concerned officials to ensure the speedy disposal of the pending cases.

The District Magistrate directed officials to ensure the time-bound disposal of all applications received at the panchayat level so that complainants can be informed of the current status of their applications right at the assistance camp.

During the meeting, the DM also directed that all ongoing government projects and bridge construction works in the district be completed within the stipulated timeframe and with high quality. He instructed that a list be prepared of projects facing land-related issues. A 'Project Monitoring Group' will be constituted to oversee such cases and conduct continuous reviews of the projects. All district-level officials, including the Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Collector-cum-Additional District Magistrate, District Land Acquisition Officer, and Sub-Divisional Officer, were present at the meeting.
