SASARAM---------------------------In compliance with the Patna High Court's order in CWJC 1848/2022, a committee headed by Principal District and Sessions Judge Mr. Anuj Kumar Jain conducted a surprise inspection of the Observation Home and the Specialized Adoption Agency in Rohtas on June 23, 2026. The inspection aimed to review the child care institutions operating in the district.

A total of 48 juveniles in conflict with the law were housed at the Observation Home, while seven children aged 0 to 6 years were present at the Specialized Adoption Agency. During the visit, officials inspected the accommodation, food arrangements, health, safety, and various activities of the children residing in these institutions.

Present on the occasion were Rohtas District Magistrate Mr. Deepak Kumar Mishra, Superintendent of Police Mr. Roshan Kumar, Additional Collector Mr. Lalit Bhushan Ranjan, District Public Grievance Redressal Officer Mr. Subhash Kumar, In-charge Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Mr. Sudhir Kumar Paswan, Senior Deputy Collector-cum-Assistant Director of the District Child Protection Unit Ms. Vinita Kumari, and other officials.
