BHABHUA------------------------On Wednesday, an out-of-control cow severely dragged and injured an advocate near the Mohania Sub-Divisional Civil Court. According to reports, Advocate Aman Kumar Singh, a member of the District Bar Association, Bhabua, and a regular at the Bhabua and Mohania Civil Courts, was leaving the Bhabua lawyers' shed, located next to the Mohania Court, after completing his work at around 3:30 pm on Wednesday (March 11, 2026). A cow, wearing a long rope (pagha) around its neck, came running at a rapid pace in front of the Irrigation Department Court gate. Unfortunately, the rope tangled around Advocate Aman Kumar Singh's leg, and the uncontrolled cow dragged him for approximately 15 meters.

The lawyer's coat and pants were torn in the horrific accident, and he suffered serious internal injuries. He was immediately rushed to the Mohania Sub-Divisional Hospital, where he was treated by doctors. After receiving first aid, he is recovering at his residence in Mohania. Lawyers are deeply angered by the local administration and the Municipal Council regarding this incident. Expressing deep concern over the incident, Mantu Pandey, a member of the District Bar Association, said that local residents leave their animals (cows, buffaloes, and goats) unleashed around the court premises throughout the day, leading to such accidents. He alleged that the Mohania Municipal Council does not take any action against such negligent livestock owners. Pandey humbly requested the Principal District and Sessions Judge (Kaimur), Mr. Anurag Ji, and the Sub-Judge First of the Mohania Sub-Divisional Civil Court to install security gates on both sides of the court premises to prevent the entry of animals and to prevent such incidents from happening to any other lawyer or member of the public in the future. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of Advocate Aman Kumar Singh.
