BUXAR-------------------------Under the aegis of the District Congress Committee, a massive protest and effigy-burning program were organized on Tuesday at the district headquarters to oppose the policies of the Central Government. The event was presided over by the President of the District Congress Committee, Dr. Manoj Pandey.

Hundreds of Congress workers participated in this protest demonstration, which began at 12:30 PM. The workers raised vociferous slogans against the Central Government regarding inflation, the rising prices of cooking gas, and the alleged supply crisis.

As part of the program, at 1:30 PM, effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were ceremonially burnt at Syndicate, Buxar. Subsequently, the event concluded with a public meeting held at the Congress office at 2:00 PM.

Addressing the gathering, District President Dr. Manoj Pandey stated that the common people are bearing the brunt of inflation due to the anti-people policies of the Central Government. He alleged that the continuously rising prices of cooking gas and the shortage in supply have directly impacted the kitchens of poor and middle-class families. He warned that the Congress party's agitation would continue until relief is provided regarding gas prices and inflation is brought under control.

On this occasion, Mrinal Anamay, the in-charge of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, also criticized the Central Government's economic policies, stating that the people of the country are distressed by inflation and that the Congress party will always continue to struggle for the interests of the poor, farmers, laborers, and the middle class.

A large number of office-bearers, party workers, and members of the general public were present at the protest, including District Kisan Cell President Sanjay Kumar Pandey, OBC Cell President Vinod Maurya, Mahila Congress President Nirmala Devi, Block Presidents Raju Verma, Ajay Ojha, and Raja Raman Pandey, as well as Dr. Satyendra Ojha, Dr. Chandrashekhar Pathak, Jalil Ahmed, Trijogi Narayan Mishra, Ajay Yadav, Kumkum Devi, Chandra Bhushan Prasad, and Dinesh Rai.

It is noteworthy that in recent months, opposition parties across the country have been staging protests regarding the hike in cooking gas prices, thereby keeping the issue of inflation at the center of political debate.
