ARA (RNI) Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) has its own annual budget of billion of rupees in whose budget proposal several senior officials and public representatives are involved through the general assembly. Even after this, the lack of suitable place for dumping and disposal of garbage in Ara is a matter of concern.
Expressing her concern in own words about the cleanliness system of Ara, Usha Choubey a social worker tried to draw attention to many questions in public interest by expressing her desire to get better management of AMC to run it smoothly regarding the cleanliness of the town.
Cleanliness system is being operated under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at the national level. Cleaning which was earlier departmental but the cleaning system was not able to run smoothly in the departmental system, on the basis of the standards, the work of getting these works done through tenders for better cleanliness management by the government is commendable but whether cleaning is actually being done with better management through tenders is a matter of concern. The department and the concerned ministry need to pay heed to it.
If for any reason the garbage is openly scattered on the roads, for which the general public is also responsible to some extent, it will not be an exaggeration to say that due to the garbage which includes plastic, medical waste etc, a lot of difficulties will be faced in reducing the outbreak of diseases and mosquitoes in the town.
She drew the attention of the public representatives including the DM towards all the above problems and requested them to try to solve the problems being faced by the general public due to haphazard garbage management and cattle being left open by the khatals and for this, along with ensuring smooth functioning of the activities of the concerned departments there is a need to issue guidelines for taking strict action against those who leave cattle in the open and those who throw garbage on the road.
