BUXAR DM INSPECTED AND GAVE NECESSARY ORDERS

BUXAR------------------------------Buxar District Magistrate Anshul Agrawal conducted a thorough inspection of the culverts located near Akalupur, Arela and Subdivision office, Dumraon regarding the culverts lying in dilapidated condition for a long time.

The DM expressed displeasure over the extremely poor condition of the culverts and gave strict instructions to the concerned engineers. Recently a major accident had taken place on Akalupur culverts in which a Principal had died and three people were injured. This was not the first incident. Many people have lost their lives on this culvert earlier. After the incident, the administration woke up and showed promptness in repairing it. At present, the construction work of diversion is going on and after which the construction of the main culvert will started. The DM also reprimanded the engineers of the Rural Works Department and said that if the work does not start within two or three days, action will be taken against the concerned engineers. He further said if any accident occurs after this, an FIR will also be lodged. He gave clear instructions that the diversion work should be completed within 48 hours and the construction work should start immediately after breaking the damaged culvert.

The DM also inspected the culvert connecting Tedki culvert and the subdivision office. He instructed to get the necessary work done soon from the security point of view so that no accident happens in future. The construction of new bridge in place of this culvert has also been ordered to be started as per rules.

The side wall of the culvert located near Rajiv Kasar was found damaged, seeing which the DM immediately ordered to take safety measures. It was also informed that the work of Bhattha canal new of Niazipur Bazaar (Simari block) and Kesath block will also be started in the next two or three days.

SDM Rakesh Kumar, DSP Afaque Akhtar Ansari, BDO Sandeep Kumar Pandey and engineer, Rural Work Department were present. The DM instructed everyone that the safety of the public is the top priority and no negligence will be tolerated at any const.
