Based on the principle of development with justice, this budget takes into account all sectors and all sections of society, including farmers, entrepreneurs, youth, and women. It is a holistic, inclusive, and development-promoting budget. This year, Bihar's budget exceeds ₹347,000 crore, an increase of ₹30,000 crore compared to last year. Bihar's growth rate is projected to be 14.9 percent in the 2026-27 fiscal year.

PATNA----------------------------Responding to the 2026-27 budget presented by Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav in the Bihar Legislative Assembly today, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that this budget fulfills the promise of a developed Bihar. He stated that this budget will be very helpful in fulfilling the 7 Nischay-3 programs implemented by our government. We have set a target of providing jobs and employment to 10 million youth in the next five years. The work of providing jobs and employment to the youth has been initiated by properly managing financial resources in the state. Under the Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme, a provision of ₹2 lakh has been made for employment assistance to one woman from every household. Industry is being promoted in the state. This budget will fulfill the objectives of providing opportunities to every family, skill development of every youth, and empowerment of women. Special provisions have also been made in this budget to further the development achieved through our efforts in education, health, and agriculture. The Bihar Budget 2026-27 will play a vital role in accelerating the pace of economic development of the state.
The proper management of the state government's fiscal resources will enable Bihar's development to progress rapidly. The central government is also providing full support to Bihar's development. In the next few years, Bihar will be able to join the ranks of the most developed states in the country.
