BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST THREE DRUG SMUGGLERS FROM PATNA ND JEHANABAD

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police arrested three other members of the drug syndicate from Patna and Jehanabad. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Dharmendra Paswan of Musepur under Sikaria police station of Jehanabad, Mahavir Kumar of Pakadi Punpun village under Punpun police station of Patna and Vikas Kumar alias Chandu Kumar of jail Road Hanuman Nagar under Masaurhi police station. The police arrested them from the respective homes in Patna and Jehanabad. The police succeeded in the arresting tham after the revelation of Ankush Kumar and Indrajit Kumar of Anaith locality under Ara Nawada police station in Bhojpur district who were arrested with heroin worth about Rs. 5 crore.

Bhojpur police and the STF from Patna jointly had conducted raid in a house at Kurmi Tola of Anaith locality under Ara Nawada police staion and arrested two drug pedderls from there in Bhojpur district and also seized 2.107kg of heroin worth about Rs. 5 crore, a luxury car, about Rs. 1.28 lakh in cash, four passbooks, four cheque books, two mobiles, Adhar Cards of the peddlers, PAN Card, ATM besides many other important items. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Ankush Kumar son of Chhathu Chaudhary of Kurmi Tola at Anaith locality and Indrajit Kumar son of Baldev Paswan of Paswan Toli of the same locality under Nawada police station though the land lord is absconding. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara Nawada police station against 11 persons of Ara, Patna, Jehanabad including the drug peddlers, main drug peddler Abhishek Kumar, owner of the car, Naushad Khan of Jamania in Uttar Pradesh under the NDPS Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation. Police are also conducting raids to arrest the land lord. Besides, husband and wife of Taregan under Masaudhi police station in Patna are also said to be involved in the drug smuggling and the police are also trying to arrest them.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that the STF team and Bhojpur police, acting on confidential report, conducted raid near Dhobigahtawa at Anaith locality under Ara Nawada police station and recovered 1kg of heroin from a luxury car and arrested two drug peddlers from the car namely Ankush Kumar and Indrajit Kumar and seized their mobiles and the luxury car. On their revelation, the police conducted raid in another house and about 1kg of heroin and about Rs. 1.25 lakh in cash were also recovered from there though the owner of the house was absconding. The ASP further said that this big consignment of heroin was brought from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh to Ara in Bihar. It is being ascertained as to where the consignment was brought and to whom this was to be delivered. He stated that Anshu Kumar had been in jail in the year 2021 for smuggling of heroin.

The ASP further said that he got information that a big consignment of heroin was being smuggled in a luxury car via Jagdishpur rom Uttar Pradesh to Ara. A police team under the SHO Ara Nawada police station Bipin Bihari was formed for the recovery of heroin and also for the arrest of the drug peddlers. Meanwhile a team of STF from Patna also reached Ara. After that the STF and Bhojpur police team jointly started vehicle checking drive at Dhobighatawa under Ara Nawada police station. Meanwhile the police intercepted a luxury car bearing registration number of Patna and when searched, the police seized 1 kg and 47 gram of heroin packed in two packets and arrested Ankush Kumar and Indrajit Kumar and also seized their mobiles. The police also recovered Rs. 15000 from the in cash and also seized the PAN Card, Adhar Card and Driving License of Ankush Kumar who was driving the car. On their revelation the police conducted raid in a house at Anaith locality and seized over 1 kg of heroin and Rs. 1.25 lakh in cash from there. The ASP said that the drug peddlers were aware of that the Bhojpur police were busy in the programme of the Prime Minister at Bikramganj in Rohtas district and so a big consignment of heroin was brought in a car though alertness of the police foined their bid.

The ASP stated that that during interrogation, the arrested drug peddlers confessed that Abhishek Kumar son of Jitendra Ram of Anaith is the main smuggler and at his dictate they were smuggling heroin from Jamania of Gazipur in Uttar Pradesh and the heroin was to be delivered at different places in Patna and Bhojpur. On their confession, the police conducted raid in the house of Abhishek Kumar at Anaith and 1067 gram of heroin packed in two packets, four pass books, four cheque books, papers of investments in the name of some people, two small packets of plastic, rubber and Rs. 1.11 lakh in cash were seized though Abhishek Kumar fled away from the scene. The arrested drug peddlers revealed that the consignment was brought from Naushad Khan of Zamania, Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh and they also revealed the entire syndicate. They also revealed that earlier about three kilograms of heroin was brought from Zamania, Ghazipur, UP. The heroin was to be supplied to Mahavir Yadav of Punpun in Patna district, Ragini Kumari of Taregna, Masaurhi, Patna, Ranjan Kumar, Vikas Kumar of Jail Road Masaurhi, Munna Kumar alias Rajesh of Dhanarua, Patna, Neema, Santosh Sharma of Masaurhi, Akash Kumar of Nauwabagh, Masaurhi, Pankaj Kumar of Ara Anaith, Krishna Chaudhary, Manjeet Kumar of Babura, Bhojpur and Dharmendra Paswan of Jehanabad.

On the basis of the Punjab, Bihar is now becoming Udta Bihar in drug consumption where the police are continuously conducting raids against the drus and its peddlers and also arresting them.
