ARA-------------------------Located within the Ramna Maidan in the city of Ara, Bhojpur district, the Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium was once a prominent hub for sporting activities. Here, the city's children and youth would participate in cricket, football, and other sports with great enthusiasm. However, today, due to its dilapidated state, the stadium has fallen victim to utter neglect.

Constructed years ago, the stadium's condition has now become decrepit. During the monsoon season, the ground becomes waterlogged, bringing all sporting activities to a complete standstill. The surrounding filth, crumbling structures, and a severe lack of basic amenities serve as clear indicators that the facility has gone without proper maintenance for a prolonged period.

Of greatest concern is the fact that this is the only major ground in the city of Ara where children and youth gather for sports and athletics. Consequently, its poor condition is directly impacting the future of the youth and hindering the development of their sporting talents.

There is an urgent need for the Government of Bihar to pay serious attention to this matter and undertake the reconstruction of the Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, equipping it with modern amenities. The stadium requires the development of a superior drainage system, spectator stands, proper sanitation, restroom facilities, drinking water access, and adequate training facilities for athletes.

If concrete steps are not taken in this direction in a timely manner, the youth of Ara will be deprived of a suitable platform to showcase their talents. The government must take the initiative to revitalize this stadium, thereby empowering both the future of sports and the youth of the region.
