PATNA-------------------------By the year 2047, when we celebrate the centenary of our independence, India will have emerged as a global superpower. It will reclaim its ancient status as *Vishwa-Guru* (World Teacher). Litterateurs will play a pivotal role in building a developed India.
Dr. Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi, Bihar’s Minister of Art and Culture, made these remarks on Tuesday while inaugurating a seminar and the ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahityakar Gaurav Samman’ (Prime Minister’s Literary Excellence Award) ceremony. Held at the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan under the aegis of the ‘Educational Research and Development Institute,’ the event marked the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. He congratulated the honored litterateurs and noted that art and literature hold a place of special priority in the Prime Minister's vision; recently, the Prime Minister honored poets and writers across 36 Indian languages with distinguished awards.
In his presidential address, Dr. Anil Sulabh, President of the Sammelan, stated that India’s perspective has always been rooted in the philosophy of *Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam* (the world is one family). We have long regarded the entire earth as our own kin. Our culture teaches us to love not only human society but all living beings. It was this very wisdom that once elevated us to the status of *Vishwa-Guru*. We lost that exalted position when we drifted away from our language and culture. Now that India has returned to its cultural roots and traditions of knowledge, it will undoubtedly succeed in regaining the status of *Vishwa-Guru* and guiding the world onto the righteous path. Suresh Rungta (Chairman, Trade Commission, Bihar), Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh (Former President, Indian Medical Association), Dr. Satya Prakash Tiwari (Renowned Ophthalmologist), Rakesh Mishra (Industrialist and Litterateur), Er. Ashok Kumar, Jai Shankar Sharma, Sunil Kumar Sinha, Nityanand Sharma, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Naresh Mahto, Ashok Pathak, and Sundar Kant Chaudhary also expressed their views. Dr. Vinod Sharma (President of the Institute) welcomed the guests, while Advocate Dr. Kaushalendra Narayan proposed the vote of thanks. The proceedings were conducted by Janardan Sharma 'Jogi'.
