SASARAM---------------------------On the occasion of Teachers' Day (Saturday), 42 teachers from the district who demonstrated excellence in the field of education were honored by the District Magistrate of Rohtas with certificates of appreciation and mementos at the DRDA auditorium in the Collectorate. Additionally, prizes were awarded to winners of the district-level crossword competition: Anjali Kumari (Sher Shah Suri High School, Sasaram) secured first place and received ₹8,000; Priti Kumari (Residential School, Mokar) secured second place and received a cheque for ₹6,000; and a student from Medhavi Kriti Residential School, Mokar, secured third place and received a cheque for ₹4,000. All three students were also presented with bags, mementos, and certificates. Furthermore, on behalf of the Madhuram Charitable Trust, Sasaram, cheques were awarded to top performers from Rama Jain Girls' School, Sasaram: Priyanjali Kumari (1st place) received ₹1 lakh, Ankita Kumari (2nd place) received ₹25,000, and Priya Kumari (3rd place) received ₹10,000. Saloni Kumari, who had secured first place in 2024, was also awarded a cheque for ₹50,000.

Dignitaries present on the occasion included Deputy Development Commissioner Ms. Akanksha Anand, District Education Officer Mr. Madan Rai, former IFS officer Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Madhuram Charitable Trust Chairperson Mrs. Nisha Kumar, District Programme Officer (Samagra Shiksha) Mr. Rajnish Kumar Upadhyay, and officials from the Bihar Education Project Office including Pankaj Kumar, Sudhir Mohan, Prabhat, Harsh Vijayvardhan, and Sudhir Kumar Chaubey. The event was anchored by teacher Sakir Ali.
