TWO TEACHERS SUSPENDED

BUXAR----------------------------The District Education Department has taken strict action against two teachers employed at a middle school in Dumraon block following serious allegations—including molesting female students, circulating objectionable videos on social media, and issuing threats via audio messages. Acting on the instructions of the District Education Officer, Buxar, both teachers have been suspended with immediate effect and are now subject to departmental proceedings. According to available information, the Block Education Officer of Dumraon had informed the District Education Department—via letter no. 771 dated August 31, 2026—about a complaint filed by villagers against Assistant Teacher Virendra Prasad and School Teacher Arvind Kumar, detailing the serious allegations contained therein. The report alleged that both teachers had engaged in the molestation of female students, circulated objectionable videos on social media, and issued threats via audio messages.

Following a review of the matter, and as the allegations appeared prima facie true, both teachers have been suspended with immediate effect under the Bihar Government Servants (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 2005, in accordance with the directives of the District Education Officer, Buxar.

As per the issued office order, the headquarters for Assistant Teacher Virendra Prasad during the suspension period has been designated as the Block Resource Centre, Rajpur, while the headquarters for School Teacher Arvind Kumar has been set as the Block Resource Centre, Chakki. During the suspension period, both teachers will receive a subsistence allowance in accordance with the rules; this payment will be contingent upon attendance records received from their respective suspension headquarters.

The District Education Department has further clarified that a charge sheet will be drawn up against both teachers, and a Presenting Officer and an Inquiry Officer will be appointed separately to conduct departmental proceedings.

It is noteworthy that the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Buxar, issued separate office orders regarding this matter on September 2, 2026. Virendra Prasad was suspended under Order No. 3346, and Arvind Kumar was suspended under Order No. 3347.
