BUXAR------------------------The continuously rising water level of the Ganga river has heightened concerns among villagers living in riverside areas. As the river approaches the danger mark, water has begun entering villages and low-lying areas, creating flood-like conditions in several places. Panic prevails among the villagers, and there is anxiety regarding safe locations.

The North Nainijor Gram Panchayat in Brahmpur block is partially submerged due to the spread of water across several areas. Meanwhile, Dhabhi village, Gajadhar Dera, and Pokhra Dhala village have been completely surrounded by the rising Ganga waters. Fears are mounting that the situation could worsen further if the water level continues to rise.

In light of the potential threat, the district administration has gone into alert mode. Surveillance of the Buxar-Koilwar embankment has been intensified, and concerned officials have been instructed to keep a constant watch on the situation. The District Magistrate has alerted administrative teams for relief and rescue operations to ensure immediate assistance reaches affected villagers if needed.

Villagers state that if the Ganga's water level continues to rise at this rate, other nearby villages could also be affected. For now, the administration is closely monitoring the water level and the condition of the embankment.
