During the protest, nursing students overpowered the police and chased them down, beating them.
This incident occurred near Aryabhatta Knowledge University in Patna, where nursing students were protesting against irregularities in the results. The police resorted to a lathi-charge to disperse the students visible in front of them. You can see in the video how the police initially lathi-charged the students. However, the situation backfired when other students joined them in attacking the police.
The protesters snatched the police's batons and began using them against the officers themselves. Two policemen were injured and managed to save their lives by retreating into the campus. However, during the ensuing scuffle and chase, one officer fell just outside the campus gate. Agitated students immediately rained blows on him with batons. Amidst this, other protesting students intervened to stop the aggressive group and rescued the policeman from their clutches; he then managed to flee into the campus.
