MINOR GIRL ELECTORCUTED TO DEATH

SASARAM--------------------------An innocent eight-year-old girl lost her life due to the gross negligence of the Electricity Department in Tiyara Khurd village, under the Tiyara Khurd Panchayat within the Chutia police station area.

The deceased child has been identified as Sugandha Kumari, daughter of Ashok Yadav, a resident of Tiyara Khurd. It is reported that the child was stepping out to dispose of waste from a flowerpot when she came into contact with a live wire that had fallen on the path; she was electrocuted and died on the spot. Neighbors informed the family of the incident, plunging them into grief and wailing. Local police arrived upon receiving the news and have initiated legal proceedings. There is considerable outrage among the locals against the Electricity Department following the incident; villagers claim the accident occurred due to the department's negligence, noting that the Junior Engineer (JE) and staff had been informed about the broken wire but paid no heed, ultimately leading to the child's death. The bereaved family has demanded that the administration Appropriate action should be taken against the concerned officials and personnel found negligent, and the family should receive the government-provided compensation; the family is in a state of shock following the incident, and the mother is inconsolable.
