PATNA-----------------------Patrols by women police personnel will now be faster and more effective. 'Pink Scooties' have been provided to women police personnel deployed at newly established police outposts (OPs) and police stations. Using these scooters, female police personnel will conduct regular patrols in their areas and keep a watch for suspicious activities.
The provision of 'Pink Scooties' will make it easier for police personnel to reach the scene of an incident or respond to information. In particular, female officers will be able to reach the location quickly upon receiving reports regarding cases such as the harassment of women. This is expected to facilitate prompt police action and provide relief to the general public.
Parsa Bazar Station House Officer (SHO) Menka Rani stated that the government has provided these Pink Scooties to female police personnel to streamline patrolling and policing duties. She added that the officers will use the scooters to conduct continuous patrols in their respective areas and play an active role in curbing criminal activities. The scooters will also prove highly useful for reaching incident sites immediately upon receiving information.
