Former Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra had led the Western Air Command during 'Operation Sindoor' and served in the Indian Air Force for 39 years. Additionally, three new members have been appointed to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust. These include Mahesh Bhagchandka from Delhi, Advocate Madan Mohan Pandey from Ayodhya, and Nirmala Yadav—an RSS supporter from Shikohabad. Nirmala Yadav will be the trust's first female trustee.
It is noteworthy that these significant changes in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust come three months after a case involving the theft of temple offerings came to light; eight accused individuals are currently in jail in connection with this matter. Following that incident, Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra had resigned on July 2. After their resignations, retired IFS officer Krishna Mohan was appointed as the acting General Secretary.
Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Mandir Trust. He is a retired Air Marshal of the Indian Air Force and has commanded the Western Air Command. Commissioned into the Indian Air Force in 1986, he served as both a fighter pilot and a test pilot, accumulating over 3,000 hours of flying experience.
Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra served in the military for over 38 years and is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune. He has been awarded the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, as well as the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and the Vishisht Seva Medal.
