AWARENESS MEETING ON PAPERLESS REGISTRATION

ARA-------------------------A meeting regarding the government's new initiative for a 'Paperless Bihar' was held at the Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat hall. The meeting was attended by Registrar Sadab Azam, Executive Officer Aniruddha Kumar, and Chief Councilor Santosh Kumar Yadav, alongside ward councilors and various social activists from the municipal area. Officials provided detailed information about the paperless registration system. It was explained that the Government of Bihar's Department of Prohibition, Excise, and Registration has implemented this system across the state in a phased manner, starting July 11, 2026, with the aim of making document registration easier, secure, and transparent. In Ara, Bhojpur, the system was implemented on August 17, 2026, as part of the third and final phase.

The meeting highlighted that the new system would save time during registration, ensure the secure electronic storage of documents, prevent fraud, and simplify the document preparation process. Parties involved can even prepare documents themselves via online channels. Options for e-KYC using Aadhaar OTP and Digital Signature (DSC) have been made available during the registration process. A provision has also been made for the office to provide a hard copy of the document free of charge after registration. Officials mentioned the availability of the 'e-Nibandhan' citizen portal, which allows people to log in online and handle tasks related to the registration process.

The paperless registration system will make the processing of land documents simple, secure, and transparent. It will save people's time and reduce paperwork. Our objective is to disseminate information about this system to the general public with the cooperation of public representatives and social activists.

The paperless registration system is a significant step towards modernizing and securing the registration process. Features such as e-KYC, Aadhaar OTP, and Digital Signature (DSC) will enhance transparency, while the secure electronic storage of documents will minimize the risk of fraud.

Paperless registration is the need of the hour. This initiative will facilitate the registration of land documents for the general public and reduce unnecessary paperwork. Public representatives will extend their cooperation in taking this system to the people.
