ARA----------------------------Police in Bihar's Bhojpur district have made a major breakthrough in the murder case of Pashupatinath Tiwari, a driver constable with the Jharkhand Police, in Bhagwatpur village under the Chandi police station area. The investigation revealed that the heinous crime was committed by the deceased's own son in collaboration with a friend. The motive for the murder is said to be greed for money and a job.

According to the police, driver constable Pashupatinath Tiwari was due to retire on January 31, 2026. It is alleged that his son hoped to get a job on compassionate grounds after his father's death. Driven by this greed, the son conspired to brutally murder his father, who was home on leave.

It is reported that Pashupatinath Tiwari was murdered by having his throat slit while he was sleeping at home in December. The police investigation also revealed that about two years ago, the deceased's son had also conspired to kill his father in an accident, but that attempt failed. Bhojpur police successfully solved the murder case based on scientific and technical investigation.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ranjit Kumar Singh said that the deceased's son has been arrested in this case, while the search for the other accused involved in the murder is ongoing. Police said that the son was also angry with his father over some land agreements. This resentment and greed led to this horrific crime. The police are currently conducting continuous raids to apprehend the second accused.
