SCHOOL BUILDING IN DANGEROUS CONDITION

ARA---------------------------The Girls' Middle School in Ward No. 6 of the Jagdishpur city area is located on two plots of land, one of which is completely dilapidated. Consequently, no work is conducted in the building. The newly constructed Girls' Middle School has only three classrooms, while the current enrollment is 260 students. Consequently, all girls from grades 1 to 8 have to work together in three classrooms. Additionally, conducting awareness sessions and mid-day meals poses significant challenges. This is likely to adversely impact the students' future. This is the only school for girls in the entire city. In the interest of the girls, if the dilapidated Girls' Middle School building is renovated, it will significantly facilitate the operation of separate classes for grades 1 to 8, as well as the mid-day meal. In this context, keeping public interest in mind, a formal letter has been sent to the District Magistrate, Bhojpur, and the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Patna, demanding the immediate demolition and reconstruction of the school building. It should be noted that the school's headmistress, Mrs. Reena Kumari, has previously notified the District Education Officer, Bhojpur, and other relevant senior officials through various applications. Furthermore, the School Education Committee, meeting number 05, dated 12.09.2024, has approved further departmental action for the reconstruction of the dilapidated building. This issue is not merely about construction but is directly related to girls' education, safety, and future. As a public representative, I urge the above officials to give top priority to the safety of the girl students, promptly conduct a technical inspection, demolish the dilapidated building, and construct a new school building equipped with modern facilities.
