ARA--------------------------- A middle-aged man was shot near the Gajrajganj flyover bridge in Bhojpur.

Armed criminals on a motorcycle shot a vegetable vendor near the Gajrajganj flyover bridge in the Gajrajganj OP area of ​​the district on Thursday night. The injured man was shot in the right leg near the spot, leaving him seriously injured. Gajrajganj OP police brought him from Sadar Hospital to a private hospital in Babu Bazar, where he is currently receiving treatment.

According to information, the injured man is Shaukat Ali, 50, son of Jummuddin, a resident of Raghunathpur village in the Brahmapur police station area of ​​Buxar district. Shaukat Ali said he was visiting his in-laws in Karisath village in the Gajrajganj OP area. On Thursday night, while walking to his in-laws' house on the Gajrajganj flyover bridge, two armed criminals on a motorcycle approached him and shouted, "Kill me!" They then assaulted him and shot him, leaving him seriously injured.

On the other hand, the injured Shaukat Ali has categorically denied any dispute or enmity with the boys. Gajrajganj OP in-charge Chanchal Mahatha said that the injured were walking when two armed criminals on a bike first assaulted them and then shot them. However, the reason for the shooting is unclear. The matter is under investigation.
