SASARAM------------------------Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested a husband on Thursday evening who had stabbed and injured his wife. It is reported that Munna Sah, a resident of Pewandi village, had severely injured his wife, Chhathu Kumari, by stabbing her in the middle of the Chenari market before fleeing the scene of the crime. Subsequently, the police registered a case and continued to conduct raids at potential hideouts in an effort to apprehend the accused. Local residents took the injured woman to the Community Health Center for treatment; after administering first aid, doctors there referred her to the Sadar Hospital Trauma Center in Sasaram for advanced medical care. In this regard, Station House Officer (SHO) Dinesh Malakar stated that Munna Sah—the primary accused in Chenari Police Station Case No. 175/26 (dated 09/05/26), registered under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(2), and 109(1) of the BNS—was duly arrested and produced before the Honorable Court. Munna Sah, aged approximately 30, is the son of Chhathu Sah and a resident of Pewandi village, under the jurisdiction of Chenari Police Station, District Rohtas. It is noteworthy that the primary accused had stabbed and injured his wife in the Chenari market on May 7, 2026.
