BHABHUA--------------------------A shocking scheme involving a husband and wife to force religious conversion has come to light in Kaimur, Bihar; the wife was found to be complicit in the act. A case has emerged where the couple forcibly assaulted a woman who refused to convert.

"Convert, or we will make the video viral." This threat was issued to a woman—by another woman. Yes, this incident occurred in Kaimur. When the woman refused to agree to religious conversion, the husband raped her while his wife stood by and recorded the act on video. Subsequently, the couple pressured her, threatening to circulate the video if she did not convert. The police have now intervened in the matter. Let us understand the full details of the case.

The incident took place in the Ramgarh police station area of ​​Kaimur district. The victim was drugged and raped, and a video of the assault was recorded. She was then pressured to convert to another religion. Acting on the victim's complaint, the police arrested the accused couple—Ekram Ansari and his wife, Shahida Begum. Mohania SDPO Gopal Krishna confirmed the arrests.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Sub-Divisional Office on Wednesday morning, Mohania SDPO Gopal Krishna stated that a woman had submitted a written complaint at the Ramgarh police station on Tuesday. According to the complaint, on the evening of June 4 around 6 PM, Ekram Ansari (son of Muslim Ansari) and his wife Shahida Begum—residents of Darwan under the Ramgarh police station jurisdiction—invited the woman to their home. After making her consume a drugged substance and taking advantage of her incapacitated state, the accused, Ekram Ansari, forcibly engaged in sexual relations with the victim against her will. Throughout the assault, Ekram Ansari's wife, Shahida Begum, recorded the incident on her mobile phone. Following the incident, the accused threatened the victim by showing her a video, warning that it would be made viral if she did not convert her religion; the Ramgarh police arrested the accused couple within four hours. Case number 150/26 has been registered. One of the arrested individuals, Ekram Ansari, has a prior criminal record, including a case involving the molestation of women.
