HINDU JAGRAN MANCH HOLDS MEETING REGARDING RECONSTRUCTION OF MAUNI BABA CLOK TOWER

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA------------------------An important meeting of the Hindu Jagran Manch was organized regarding the grand reconstruction of the Mauni Baba Shiva Temple and Clock Tower, situated at Gopali Chowk—a prominent landmark in the city of Arrah. This meeting was held within the premises of the Siddhnath Baba Temple complex and was attended by a large number of local citizens, social workers, devotees, and representatives from various organizations. Speakers noted that the Mauni Baba Shiva Temple has served as a major center of faith and Sanatan tradition for many years. Furthermore, the Clock Tower has long stood as a symbol of Arrah's cultural and historical identity. However, after the temple and clock tower fell into a dilapidated state, the old structure was demolished; yet, the reconstruction work has failed to commence. Although MP R.K. Singh and administrative officials had previously held a meeting and performed rituals to formally launch the project, the outcome has remained absolutely nil. Expressing strong displeasure over this administrative negligence and apathy, speakers remarked that the very site which once bustled with crowds of devotees and resonated with the chiming of bells now lies in an atmosphere of utter neglect. The members of the Hindu Jagran Manch resolved to transform this issue into a mass movement. To this end, a public awareness campaign will be launched, cooperation will be sought from local residents, and dialogues will be held with the administration. If deemed necessary, a protest movement will also be organized. A decision was taken to hold a major meeting on this subject on the upcoming 3rd of May, with the aim of ensuring broad-based participation. Attendees at the meeting
