ARA--------------------------An FIR has been registered regarding the murder of Chandrashekhar, which took place on Saturday morning in Sohra village, located within the jurisdiction of the Krishnagarh police station. Based on the statement provided by the deceased's father, Prabhunath Prasad, two residents of Sohra village—Sudhan Bind and Ankit Paswan—have been named as accused, alongside other unidentified individuals.
In the registered FIR, Prabhunath Prasad stated that on March 12, a dispute broke out between two groups of children in the village over a cricket match. At that time, his son, Chandrashekhar Kumar, intervened to mediate and resolve the altercation. It was then that Sudhan Bind allegedly threatened to kill him. Subsequently, stemming from this very dispute, his son was shot dead.
It is reported that Chandrashekhar Kumar—son of Prabhunath Prasad, a resident of Ward No. 7 in Sohra village (Krishnagarh police station area)—was sleeping in a makeshift shed (*palani*) located a short distance from his home on Saturday morning. During this time, an unidentified assailant shot and killed him. The bullet struck the deceased on the left temple and exited through the right side of his head.
Meanwhile, Sadar SDPO-II, Ranjit Kumar Singh, confirmed that an FIR has been lodged by the deceased's father against the two named individuals—Sudhan Bind and Ankit Paswan—as well as against other unknown persons. Taking swift action, the police have taken both named accused—Sudhan Bind and Ankit Paswan—into custody and are currently interrogating them. Additionally, the police are investigating other angles related to the case. Further action will be taken by the police once the evidence has been thoroughly examined.
