BUXAR-----------------------------The railway administration was thrown into a state of panic following a report regarding the presence of a bomb on train number 15125, the Janshatabdi Express. However, following swift action, the situation turned out to be entirely different. Instead of a bomb, a significant quantity of Western liquor was recovered from a female passenger.
According to reports, Kundan Singh, the Inspector-in-Charge of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Buxar, received information from the Danapur Security Control Room stating that a woman in coach D-15 of the Janshatabdi Express had a bomb strapped to her body. This information was provided by a fellow female passenger. The report caused immediate consternation within the railway department; however, by that time, the train had already departed from Buxar station.
Given the gravity of the situation, the RPF immediately alerted the personnel stationed at Dumraon station. Constable Rajmukul Kumar and Head Constable Mukesh Roshan were instructed to conduct a thorough search of the suspected coach as soon as the train arrived. To facilitate this, female railway staff member Chandravati Devi was also included in the team.
Upon the train's arrival at Dumraon station, a joint team comprising the RPF and the Government Railway Police (GRP) commenced an inspection of coach D-15. During the search, Mamata Kumari (29 years old)—wife of Jitendra Kumar and a resident of Bihiya (Bhojpur)—was apprehended under suspicious circumstances. With the assistance of the female railway staff member, a search of her person revealed 14 bottles of Western liquor that she had concealed on her body.
The investigation revealed that the woman had strapped the liquor to her body in such a manner that, when viewed from the outside, it bore a resemblance to a bomb. It was this visual similarity that aroused the suspicion of the fellow passenger, prompting her to report the presence of a bomb.
The RPF seized the recovered liquor and brought the woman back to Buxar, where she has been handed over to the GRP for further legal action. Following the incident, the panic that had gripped the train subsided, and the passengers breathed a collective sigh of relief.
