PATNA--------------------------45,000 new teaching positions are set to be filled in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made this announcement on Saturday during the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity Journey) as it reached Begusarai. Additionally, he spoke of the construction of five new expressways within the state.
While addressing a public gathering in Begusarai during the Samriddhi Yatra, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that the Central Government is currently extending its full support to Bihar, a collaboration that has facilitated continuous developmental work across the state. Furthermore, the Chief Minister reminisced about the past, noting that the dire condition of Bihar prior to 2005 is no secret to anyone; however, he emphasized that the state has undergone a significant transformation today, and the social environment is now characterized by far greater peace and harmony compared to earlier times.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar affirmed that ever since he was given the opportunity to serve in Bihar, consistent efforts have been directed toward the state's development. During the event, as some women began to leave the gathering, the Chief Minister requested them to stay back. The Chief Minister said, "Wait, where are you going? We are working, aren't we?" Following this, the women stopped.
Subsequently, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the recruitment of teachers for 45,000 new posts in Bihar and stated that significant work has also been accomplished in the healthcare sector within the state. Previously, the condition of the healthcare system was not satisfactory; however, large, modern, and world-class hospitals are now being constructed, and people are receiving improved medical facilities. He also noted that roads have been constructed rapidly across the state. Even remote areas have been connected via roads, resulting in reduced travel times to reach Patna from any part of the state. Furthermore, the government has undertaken various initiatives in the agricultural sector, and Bihar is making strides toward becoming self-reliant in fish production.
During a public meeting in Begusarai, the Chief Minister announced that five new expressways would be constructed within the state. Additionally, rural roads would be upgraded to double-lane standards. Meanwhile, athletes who perform exceptionally well and bring glory to Bihar will be offered government jobs. Bihar is poised to soon rank among the top states in the country; the Central Government is extending its full cooperation to achieve this goal. Considerable work has also been undertaken for the development of Begusarai, with efforts spanning every sector—from electricity and roads to healthcare.
The Chief Minister stated that, in the near future, solar panels would be installed on the rooftops of people's homes, thereby further boosting electricity generation. Nitish Kumar emphasized that the government has also worked extensively in the realm of employment. To date, jobs and employment opportunities have been provided to approximately 5 million youths, while a target has been set to provide employment to 10 million youths in the times to come. Under the Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme, women who perform commendably in their work will receive financial assistance of ₹200,000. Industrial zones will be established in every region of the state. Several major initiatives are currently underway to promote education within the state. District hospitals are being upgraded into specialized medical centers, and government doctors will be prohibited from engaging in private practice.
