ARA--------------------------Paid humble tribute to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan—the pioneer of the 'Total Revolution' (Sampoorna Kranti), a great freedom fighter, an ardent socialist thinker, and a vigilant guardian of democracy—by offering floral tributes at his portrait.

Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan was born on October 11, 1902, in Sitabdiara village, Saran district, Bihar. He possessed a spirit of patriotism and social service from childhood. He went to America for higher education, where he studied while working manual jobs under difficult circumstances and became influenced by socialist ideology.

Upon returning to India, he played an active role in the freedom movement. He participated in movements led by Mahatma Gandhi and was imprisoned several times. His contribution to the Quit India Movement of 1942 was historic; while struggling against British rule, he ignited a passion for freedom among the youth.

After independence, when most leaders became engrossed in power politics, Jayaprakash Narayan renounced the allure of power and chose the path of social reconstruction. He struggled throughout his life for socialism, equality, social justice, and a corruption-free system. He believed that democracy was not merely a means to win elections but a system based on public participation and accountability.

The historic student-youth movement he launched in Bihar in 1974 spread across the entire country. He called for a "Total Revolution" (*Sampoorna Kranti*) against rising inflation, unemployment, corruption, and authoritarian tendencies. His slogan emphasized that comprehensive change was needed not just in the government, but also in society, politics, education, the economy, and moral values.

Following the imposition of the Emergency in the country on June 25, 1975, democracy and civil rights faced a crisis... .emerged. During that difficult period, Jayaprakash Narayan emerged as the greatest symbol of the defense of democracy. Under his leadership, the struggle to restore democracy unfolded, and ultimately, the power of the people defeated authoritarian tendencies.

Jayaprakash Narayan never harbored any desire for office or power throughout his life. That is why the people of the country bestowed upon him the title of "Loknayak" (Leader of the People). His entire life stands as an unparalleled example of sacrifice, struggle, integrity, and public service.

Today, his ideas are more relevant than ever. At a time when the country is grappling with challenges such as corruption, unemployment, social inequality, and threats to democratic values, the life of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan inspires us all to walk the path of truth, struggle, and public welfare. A hundred salutations and a heartfelt tribute to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan.
