Social worker Neelam Jha undergoes successful eye surgery

New Delhi (RNI).Well known ophthalmologist Dr.Jeevan Singh Titiyal successfully performed eye surgery on Smt. Neelam Jha, a prominent social worker from Mithila. One of her eyes had earlier been operated on December 22 last year.

Padma Shri Dr. Titiyal—who has treated many distinguished personalities, including Dalai Lama and former Prime Minister late Dr. Manmohan Singh—conducted a detailed examination of Smt. Jha’s eyes yesterday before the procedure.

Prior to the surgery, Dr.G. Rastogi from the Department of Medicine assessed her blood pressure, blood sugar, and other essential health parameters. Smt. Jha, who is associated with several social organizations and media groups, had been suffering from cataracts in both eyes.

Leaders from various political and social organizations were present at the hospital during her operation and extended their wishes for her speedy recovery. L.S.
