Long queues of vehicles formed on the road between Rajapur and Daulatpur. Within a short span, a large number of vehicles—both small and large—became trapped in the gridlock. The situation was so severe that many drivers remained stuck on the road for hours.
The situation remained unchanged until around 1:00 PM. Truck drivers caught in the jam reported that they had been stranded since morning, with no clear information on when the traffic would clear. The prolonged delay caused significant hardship for both drivers and passengers.
People traveling for essential work also faced difficulties due to the jam. Many commuters struggled to reach their destinations on time. Locals state that traffic jams have become a frequent occurrence on this four-lane highway; yet, no effective measures have been implemented to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Local residents have demanded that the administration and traffic police find a permanent solution to the recurring traffic jams between Rajapur and Daulatpur and streamline the traffic management system.
