Dr. ANIL SULABH DELIVERED A LECTURE AT JAIPUR’S CHATURVED VED-VIDYAPEETH

PATNA-------------------------The sacrifices made by Indian sages and *Vipras* (scholars/priests) for the preservation of the Vedas are unforgettable. For millennia, India's *Vipras* renounced all personal comforts to practice the daily recitation of the Vedas and inspired countless future generations to carry on this work and make sacrifices for the preservation of the scriptures. These scholars memorized the Vedas and passed them down to succeeding generations. Those who memorized all four Vedas in their entirety and in the prescribed order were given the title 'Chaturvedi'; those who memorized three were called 'Trivedi'; those who memorized two were 'Dwivedi'; and those who memorized one were known as 'Vedi'. The Vedas contain all the knowledge and science of the world. Therefore, the propagation and practice of the Vedas constitute the nation's greatest cultural movement, one that should be strengthened in every possible way. The number of *Ved-Pathshalas* (Vedic schools) should be increased, and Sanskrit and Vedic studies should be taught in all schools. This will enrich India both spiritually and scientifically, fostering the development of human values ​​within mankind. Dr. Anil Sulabh, President of the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, made these remarks while addressing students (*batuks*) at the 'Govind Dev Chaturved Ved Vidyapeeth'—an institution run according to the ancient *Gurukul* system—located within the premises of the renowned Shri Pinjrapol Gaushala in Sanganer, Jaipur. On this occasion, the students of the *Vidyapeeth* honored Dr. Sulabh by reciting Vedic hymns.

At the outset, Seema Rathi—the event coordinator and National General Secretary of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Fellowship—honored Dr. Sulabh by presenting him with a traditional Rajasthani ceremonial stole (*vandan-vastra*). Mrs. Rathi introduced Dr. Sulabh to the *Vidyapeeth’s* Acharya, Shri Nitin Dwivedi, and the students, requesting him to share his words of wisdom. The students reside in cottages built in the traditional *ashram* style and engage in Vedic studies as well as rituals such as *Yajna*. Dr. Sulabh praised the founder, Dr. Govind Dev Giri Ji, and the school community for running this *Ved-Vidyapeeth* in such a serene and divine atmosphere.

Also present on the occasion were Pooja Mantri (Secretary, Jaipur District Scouts and Guides Fellowship), Sonu Jhanwar (Treasurer), Harsh Rathi (Joint Secretary), Kanchan Lata Jhanwar (Donor-Member), and Ayesha, along with all the students of the *ashram*.
