At a dignified ceremony held at the Bhojpuri Foundation's state office, National President Dr. Ajay Ojha and National General Secretary Kumar Anil Singh formally inducted Syed Iqbal Imam into the role of Bihar State President.

He pointed out that although a Bhojpuri Academy has existed in Bihar since 1978, the Bhojpuri language has not yet received official recognition. He urged the Central Government to include Bhojpuri in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution as soon as possible and called upon the Bihar Government to grant it the status of a second official language, ensuring arrangements for its teaching and study from the primary school level up to the university level. He stated that the Bhojpuri Foundation has been working towards the development, promotion, and preservation of Bhojpuri since its inception. He added that Mr. Imam’s extensive experience as a senior journalist would provide a new direction to the propagation of Bhojpuri language, literature, and culture. He expressed confidence that the Bhojpuri Foundation's organization in Bihar would grow stronger under Mr. Imam's leadership. National General Secretary Kumar Anil Singh stated that he has full faith in Mr. Iqbal's capabilities and hopes that he will remain dedicated to the development and promotion of the Bhojpuri language throughout his life. He expressed happiness at being entrusted with such a significant responsibility by the Bhojpuri Foundation and pledged to serve the cause of the language and the organization with his body, mind, and resources. He honored National President Dr. Ajay Ojha and National General Secretary Kumar Anil Singh by presenting them with a shawl and a traditional *gamchha* (scarf).
