POLICE ARRESTED FATHER IN ARIYANV MURDER CASE

BUXAR-----------------------The police have registered a named FIR against three individuals in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Shweta Kumari in Ariyanv village, located within the jurisdiction of the Krishnabrahm police station in the district. The case was registered based on the statement provided by the deceased's mother, Reema Devi (wife of Rajesh Upadhyay).

In the FIR, Reema Devi has alleged that a villager named Praveen—alias 'Dhanu' Upadhyay (son of Paramhans Upadhyay)—perpetrated the crime right in front of her eyes. She recounted that someone knocked on their door during the afternoon hours. As soon as her daughter, Shweta, went to open the door, Dhanu—who was armed with a pistol—shot her, resulting in her instantaneous death at the scene.

The mother further stated that when she stepped outside with her other daughter, she observed Dhanu and his father, Paramhans, fleeing the crime scene. Dhanu was still holding the pistol in his hand. The incident has caused a sensation throughout the locality.

Acting swiftly, the police have arrested the main accused's father, Paramhans Upadhyay, and he is currently being interrogated. In this case, Paramhans's two sons—Praveen (alias Dhanu) and Prakash (alias Sonu)—have also been named as accused persons; both are currently absconding.

According to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Krishnabrahm, a spent cartridge casing was recovered from the crime scene. Additionally, during a raid conducted at the main accused's residence, nine live cartridges and another spent casing were recovered. The police have stated that the casings recovered from both locations appear to have been fired from the same weapon.

During interrogation, the deceased's mother revealed that the accused party had issued threats some time ago due to an ongoing personal dispute. Paramhans's other son, Prakash (alias Sonu), had previously visited their home and threatened to destroy their family. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into all aspects of the case, and continuous raids are being carried out to apprehend the absconding accused.
