BUXAR--------------------------The 168th Victory Day of the valiant freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh was celebrated in the district on Thursday with deep reverence and honor. On this occasion, a garland-laying ceremony was organized at his statues located at Veer Kunwar Singh Chowk and Kunwar Singh Colony within the city.
The event was presided over by the Jan Suraj Party's District President, Bajrangi Mishra, while senior Jan Suraj leader and former Buxar Assembly candidate Tathagat Harshvardhan, along with former MLA Shrikant Pathak, attended as the chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Tathagat Harshvardhan stated that Veer Kunwar Singh was a legendary hero of the Indian freedom struggle who, even amidst adverse circumstances, demonstrated indomitable courage and exemplary leadership against the British. His life serves as an inspiration of patriotism, sacrifice, and struggle—values that it is the collective duty of all of us to convey to the new generation.
Meanwhile, District President Bajrangi Mishra remarked that Veer Kunwar Singh's sacrifice and valor are etched in golden letters in the annals of Indian history. It is only by following in the footsteps of his ideals that society and the nation can be truly empowered.
During the program, numerous party workers—including Dhanji Pandey, Vijay Kumar Pathak, Ajit Samrat, Vijayanand Verma, Chhotu Pandey, Shriman Rai, Deepak Rai, Prabhat Kumar, Rajiv Sharma, Prince Kumar, Prashant Rai, Ashutosh Upadhyay, Anand Mishra, Vinay Kushwaha, Abhishek Kumar Maurya, Santosh Prajapati, Harendra Pratap Singh, Mintu Singh, Ganesh Pandey, Sanjay Ojha, Dhanji Upadhyay, Ajit Yadav, Subhash Ram, Amarendra Mishra, Chanchal Pandey, Bittu Mishra, and Deepak Singh—paid their tributes by offering flowers.
