POLICE ARRESTED TWO MISCREANTS

BUXAR-----------------------The police have partially solved a daylight robbery case involving a grain merchant in Dumraon, Buxar district, arresting two criminals while two other miscreants remain at large. The police have recovered approximately ₹95,000 of the stolen cash, along with other items. Following interrogation, the arrested accused have been sent to jail.

According to reports, Manu Kumar—son of the late Dwarika Gond and a resident of Nandan village—is engaged in the grain trade. On Wednesday, after withdrawing ₹100,000 from the Punjab National Bank branch located in Rajgarh, he was returning home on his motorcycle. Near the Chhathiya Pokhra locality, four motorcycle-borne miscreants, who were lying in ambush, surrounded him; they snatched the bag containing the cash and fled the scene. In addition to the ₹100,000 in cash, the bag also contained two checks worth ₹600,000 and other important documents.

Following the incident, the merchant raised an alarm; local residents responded with promptness, encircling the miscreants and apprehending two of the accused on the spot. However, one miscreant managed to flee with the bag, while the fourth accused—who had kept his motorcycle running—escaped from the scene along with his accomplice.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, took the captured accused into custody, and commenced interrogation. Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Kumar Sinha stated that continuous raids are being conducted at potential hideouts to apprehend the absconding accused. During these operations, approximately ₹95,000 of the stolen money was recovered from near the Purana Bhojpur flyover.

The arrested accused have been identified as Sagar Tiwari—son of Pramod Tiwari, a resident of the Rasulpur police station area in Chhapra district—and Sagar Mishra—son of Vasudev Mishra, a resident of the Kopa police station area. The police team involved in this operation included Dumraon SDPO Polast Kumar, SHO Sanjay Kumar Sinha, and other members of the force.
