KAIMUR POLICE ARRESTED DRUG SMUGGLER WITH 1045 GRAMS OF GANJA

BHABHUA-------------------------The Bhagwanpur Police Station, falling under the Bhabhua sub-divisional area, has achieved a significant breakthrough. Providing details, Station House Officer (SHO) Chandrashekhar Sharma stated that, acting on a confidential tip-off, a raid was conducted at the residence of Rintu Prasad Gupta, a resident of the Bhagwanpur police station area. During the raid, the police recovered 1,045 grams of ganja (cannabis) from the house. According to the police, the arrested individual has been identified as Rintu Prasad Gupta, aged approximately 35, son of Bigan Sah, a resident of Village Bhagwanpur, Police Station Bhagwanpur, District Kaimur. The recovered ganja has been seized by the police, and the accused was arrested on the spot.

The SHO further informed that an FIR has been registered in this matter under the NDPS Act, and further legal proceedings are underway. The police are also investigating the source from which the ganja was procured and the individuals to whom it was being supplied or distributed. Meanwhile, after undergoing a medical examination at the Bhagwanpur Primary Health Center, the arrested smuggler was sent to judicial custody in Bhabhua. This action by the Bhagwanpur police has created a stir among those involved in the illegal narcotics trade within the region.
