BHABHUA-------------------A tragic accident occurred in the Bagmati River—near Khurpatti Panchayat within the Tariyani block of the district—resulting in the drowning death of a young man.

Sahil Kumar, the 18-year-old son of the late Baiju Singh (a resident of Fatehpur), lost his life after drifting into deep waters while bathing in the river. Following the incident, a pall of mourning has settled over the entire village.

According to reports, Sahil Kumar had gone to bathe in the Bagmati River along with his friends. During this time, he suddenly drifted into the deeper section of the river and, in a matter of moments, was swept away by the strong currents. His companions present at the scene, along with local villagers, made strenuous efforts to save him, but they were unable to locate any trace of him. Upon receiving news of the incident, a large number of villagers gathered along the riverbank. The family members are inconsolable and in deep distress. Sahil's untimely death has sent a wave of grief across the entire region.

The administration swung into action immediately upon receiving the information. The SDRF team has been contacted and is expected to reach the scene shortly to commence the search for the body. Meanwhile, Circle Officer Kumar Rohit has also been apprised of the situation, and the administration is maintaining constant vigilance.

Local police and administrative officials have arrived at the site and are actively engaged in relief and rescue operations. The villagers have urged the administration to recover the body as soon as possible.
