BHABHUA-------------------------The police are conducting continuous operations to effectively enforce the liquor ban in the Bhagwanpur police station area of the subdivision. As part of this effort, Bhagwanpur police arrested three individuals with 24 liters of country-made liquor and remanded them to judicial custody.

Bhagwanpur Station House Officer (SHO) Chandrashekhar Sharma stated that the arrested accused include e-rickshaw driver Shamim Ansari (24), son of Kamruddin Ansari (Village Todi); Indal Bind (22), son of Vijaymal Bind (Village Krishnapur), who was acting as a 'liner' (scout); and Guddu Musahar (28), son of Ram Avatar Musahar (Village Musahar Toli, Bhagwanpur).

The SHO stated that during a search of the e-rickshaw, the police recovered a total of 24 liters of country-made liquor. Investigation revealed that a Honda motorcycle was being used as a 'liner' to facilitate the transport of the liquor. The police have seized the said motorcycle. Additionally, the mobile phones belonging to the two accused—who acted as 'liners'—have been seized. Interrogation revealed that Guddu Musahar had provided his mobile phone to Shamim Ansari to facilitate contact.

Following their arrest, all three accused underwent medical examinations at the Bhagwanpur Primary Health Centre. Subsequently, they were remanded to judicial custody in Bhabua.

Station House Officer (SHO) Chandrashekhar Sharma stated that the Bhagwanpur police are conducting continuous raids to ensure strict enforcement of the liquor prohibition law in Bihar. No individual involved in the illicit liquor trade will be spared under any circumstances.
