BHABHUA---------------------------A woman died after being bitten by a venomous snake early Thursday morning in Nai Basti village. The incident has devastated her family and cast a pall of gloom over the entire village.
The deceased has been identified as Kalawati Devi (49), wife of Ramadhar Ram, a resident of Nai Basti. According to her family, Kalawati Devi had gone to a bamboo grove near her home to relieve herself around 3:00 AM on Thursday, as was her routine. While it was dark, a venomous snake bit her on the leg.
After the bite, the woman managed to return home and inform her family about the incident. Following this, family members immediately rushed her to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared her dead after an examination.
Upon receiving news of the woman's death, the police completed the necessary legal formalities. After preparing the inquest report, the body was sent to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
