BUXAR------------------------'Sankalp Diwas' (Day of Resolve) was observed in Buxar on Thursday to mark the historic victory of the student-youth movement against the NEET paper leak. A march was taken out from Shahid Park (Kavaldah Pond), traversing various city routes before reaching Ambedkar Chowk, where the event concluded with a public meeting.

Addressing the gathering, speakers stated that the struggle against corruption plaguing the education and examination systems would continue. They alleged that the government has repeatedly reneged on its promises, making it essential to maintain public pressure.

During the event, protesters raised slogans in support of various demands. They called for the withdrawal of the case filed against Paliganj MLA Sandeep Saurabh during the NEET movement, the dropping of all cases against protesters from Nagarnausa, a government apology regarding the lookout notices issued against the agitators, and action against the officials who allegedly ordered the firing during the protests. Additionally, demands were raised for compensation for protesters injured in police action, the rollback of the 300% fee hike in Bihar's universities, the removal of the mandatory 7.5 CGPA requirement for Honours course admissions, a curb on the commercialization of education, the withdrawal of the Private Universities Act, the dissolution of the NTA, the speedy filling of all vacant posts, and the withdrawal of the bill seeking to delink degree colleges from universities.

A large number of students, youths, and social activists—including Om Ji, Dharmendra Yadav, Rajdev Singh, Akhilesh Thakur, Lalan Ram, Kanhaiya Paswan, Arvind Yadav, Rinku Qureshi, Mahfuz, Kush Bhagwan, Abhay Pandey, Pooja, Sandhya, Shivaji Rai, Usha Devi, and Shankar—were present at the event.
