BUXAR--------------------------The 229th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was honored with the prestigious Special Operations Zone trophy during the investiture ceremony held in New Delhi on the occasion of the CRPF's 88th Raising Day. This honor was awarded to the battalion in recognition of its outstanding operational conduct in Naxal-affected areas, exemplary leadership, effective administrative management, high standards of discipline, and superior training during the year 2025.

At the ceremony, CBI Director Praveen Sood presented the prestigious trophy to the battalion's Commandant, Brajesh Kumar Singh. Several senior officials, including CRPF Director General Gyanendra Pratap Singh, were present on the occasion.

Commandant Brajesh Kumar Singh hails from Ramoberia village in the Buxar block .is a resident of [the area]. This national achievement, attained under his leadership, has created an atmosphere of joy in the village and the district. Family members and villagers celebrated by distributing sweets and described it as a moment of pride for the entire district.

Upon receiving the honor, Commandant Brajesh Kumar Singh stated that this achievement is the collective result of the dedication, courage, hard work, and team spirit of all the battalion's officers and personnel. He remarked that this honor would serve as an inspiration for even better performance in service to the nation, internal security, and operations against Left-Wing Extremism. He also attributed this success to the guidance of senior CRPF officers and the dedication of the troops.
