SASARAM----------------------A two-day state conference organized by the Bihar Chapter of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) commenced yesterday evening, hosted and coordinated by Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Jamuhar. The event was inaugurated at the Devmangal Auditorium through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Govind Narayan Singh (Pro-Chancellor, Gopal Narayan Singh University), alongside Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdish Singh; Trivikram Narayan Singh (Managing Director, Narayan Medical College and Hospital, and MLA from Aurangabad); and guests of honor including Dr. B.K. Singh (RSSDI East Zone Committee member), Dr. Rajesh Kesari (National Committee member), Dr. Ajay Kumar (Patron, Bihar Chapter), Dr. Shaibal Guha (President, Bihar Chapter), Dr. Atul Kumar (Chairman, RSSDI Bihar Election Committee), Dr. Jitendra Kumar (Chairman, Organizing Committee), Dr. Mahendra Pratap Singh (Secretary), and Dr. Abhishek Kamendu (Co-convener). Dr. Jitendra Kumar welcomed the guests at the start of the program, while Dr. Mahendra Pratap Singh delivered the vote of thanks. Addressing the inaugural session, chief guest Govind Narayan Singh expressed gratitude to the RSSDI Bihar Chapter leadership and national committee members, congratulating them on granting Narayan Medical College and Hospital the opportunity to host the conference. He remarked that such events provide an opportunity to stay updated on the latest discoveries and research in the medical field, directly benefiting doctors, students, and the general public. He noted that diabetes has emerged as a serious disease affecting people of all ages. He added that the outcomes of this conference regarding the treatment and prevention of the rapidly spreading disease would undoubtedly prove highly beneficial for society and the nation. Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdish Singh expressed satisfaction with the ongoing research and preventive measures being undertaken by doctors to combat diabetes. The two-day conference concluded today with a ceremony honoring representatives from various states, who were presented with certificates of appreciation for their lectures. A highlight of the event was the presentation of the latest research on diabetes by expert physicians; various specialists delivered noteworthy presentations on new techniques for controlling and preventing the disease.
