ARA--------------------------The temporary diversion of the Cher River, located on Banahi Road within the Shahpur police station area of ​​Bhojpur district, has been completely submerged due to a recent rise in water levels. The sudden surge in the river's water level and the strong current have created a serious crisis for local residents. The situation is so dire that the lives of commuters and schoolchildren are at risk.

According to reports, crossing through the river's strong current has become extremely hazardous. Concerned about their children's safety, parents had to take matters into their own hands. Villagers used a rope to help the children cross the river safely; parents stood in a line holding the rope and carefully guided the children across the rushing water to the other side. This scene is not only heart-wrenching but also raises serious questions about the administration's functioning.

This is not an unforeseen incident but the result of the contractor's negligence. The 'Khabrein Aapki' team had previously raised alarms regarding the extremely slow pace of the bridge construction and the dilapidated state of the diversion. Despite repeated reports, neither the contractor nor the responsible officials paid any heed. The lethargy shown in the construction work has now become a curse for the villagers.

Due to the closure of this route, the direct link between Banahi Station and Shahpur has been completely severed. With transportation disrupted, people are now forced to take long detours via Bihiya or Ara to catch their trains. Had the construction work been completed on time, the villagers would not have had to face this severe problem today.

Local residents, including Krishnakant Singh, state that if the administration and the contractor do not take this matter seriously now, several nearby villages will be cut off from the main road, forcing people to travel extremely long distances. Currently, there is widespread public outrage, and people are demanding that the administration immediately implement better diversion measures and accelerate the bridge construction work.
