It is unfortunate that today, certain individuals—who claim to be social, political, or community activists—are the very ones vitiating the social atmosphere by posting unbridled language, indecent comments, casteist rhetoric, and inappropriate content on social media.

Even more concerning is the fact that, instead of ignoring such individuals, certain TV channels and newspapers are providing them with a platform, thereby facilitating debates and granting them fame. This constitutes a dangerous trend for society.

Freedom of expression does not imply the liberty to disseminate hatred, obscenity, and cultural pollution within society. India's identity is defined by its culture, values, civilization, propriety, and family ethics. We should embrace modernity, but not at the cost of eroding our culture and social norms. Standards of decency and responsibility must be upheld on TV channels and social media platforms alike.

Those who undertake the task of conveying messages to society must maintain a sense of propriety and respect for Indian culture in their conduct, language, and attire.

In the past, news presenters appeared with a simplicity and decorum that was in harmony with Indian values ​​and dignity—a practice that conveyed a positive message to society.

Today, there is a pressing need to: Strengthen brotherhood, harmony, and unity within society. Ensure that those who spread hatred in the name of caste and religion face social condemnation. Take strict action against obscene songs, indecent videos, and content that steers society in a wrong direction. Ensure that the administration and the Cyber ​​Cell actively and vigilantly monitor such elements. Call upon media organizations to prioritize social responsibility over the pursuit of TRPs.

It is the collective responsibility of us all to provide the coming generation with an environment characterized by strong values, mutual respect, civility, and positive thinking. Society can only truly become strong when love, respect, brotherhood, and morality are firmly established.
