ARA-------------------------A special meeting was held today under the banner of the Bhikhari Thakur Social Research Institute at the Bhikhari Thakur Cultural Stage, located within the Patel Bus Stand complex. The meeting was presided over by Jamira-based teacher Munna Rai and conducted by the institute's founding president, journalist Narendra Singh.

During the meeting, theater artist Om Prakash Ojha, researcher Ravi Prakash Suraj, Binod Kumar Singh, Anup Avalik, Dr. Kiran Kumari, Preeti Kumari, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and others offered various suggestions and engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the celebration of Bhikhari Thakur's birth anniversary as the 'Silver Jubilee Festival 2026'. Following the deliberation, it was unanimously decided to designate the event as the 'Silver Jubilee Festival 2026'. Additionally, based on suggestions from theater artists Sanjay Kumar Singh, Yashu Ram, Meera Jain, Ambuj Akash, Ram Murat Rai, and others, it was decided to stage 'Loha Singh'—the renowned play by Padma Shri Rameshwar Singh Kashyap. The responsibility for this was entrusted to theater artists Dr. Anil Kumar Singh, O.P. Kashyap, Ambuj Akash, and Sadhana Srivastava. It was decided that the event would span either three or five days. Furthermore, the festival will place special emphasis on incorporating vanishing traditions of Bhojpuri culture and will include the publication of a commemorative souvenir. Key attendees at the meeting included Satya Prakash, Dr. R.C. Bhushan, Gandhi Ji, naturopath Nand Kishore Ram, and theater artist Dharmshila Devi.
