ARA--------------------------A heap of garbage has been accumulating for several days in front of the main gate of the Urdu Middle School in Kayamnagar, located along the Koilwar-Patna-Buxar four-lane highway. Students, teachers, and local residents are facing daily inconvenience due to the filth spread across the school's entrance and the resulting stench. The situation has worsened due to waterlogging following recent rains.

The foul odor from the rotting garbage is also affecting the school's academic environment. Locals state that the garbage pile grows daily due to the lack of regular waste removal. The open garbage has led to an infestation of flies and mosquitoes, raising fears of the spread of infectious diseases such as dengue and malaria.

Children arriving at the school are forced to pass through this filth, causing resentment among parents. Residents argue that the garbage heap at the main gate of a vital educational institution exposes the failure of the sanitation system. Local citizens have demanded that the Gram Panchayat, the Sanitation Department, and concerned officials arrange for the immediate removal of the garbage and ensure a regular cleaning schedule.

Pinki Devi, the Mukhiya (head) of Kayamnagar Panchayat, stated that the sanitation supervisor has been informed about the matter. A sanitation awareness campaign will be conducted among local shopkeepers to encourage them not to dump garbage in the open.

Panchayat Sanitation Supervisor Ganesh Pathak explained that the school is situated along the National Highway (NH), where shopkeepers tend to dump waste. The NH management has been informed, and the area will be cleaned soon. Meanwhile, Block Sanitation Supervisor Santosh Kumar noted that while shopkeepers dump garbage near the school, the area is cleaned periodically. He confirmed that the matter has been noted and the garbage will be removed and the area cleaned within one or two days.
