ARA--------------------------The district administration launched a special drive on Monday to remove encroachments along the Patna-Buxar four-lane National Highway (NH) at Kayamnagar market in Koilwar. The administration's action caused a stir among those who had encroached upon the roadside.

A three-day anti-encroachment drive is being conducted from July 20 to July 22 under the instructions of the Sub-Divisional Office, Sadar Ara. On Monday, encroachments along the NH at Kayamnagar market were removed between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM.

Koilwar Circle Officer Uday Pratap Singh was present at the site during the drive. Officials from the NHAI, Gidha Station House Officer (SHO) Tinku Kumar, and an adequate police force were also deployed to ensure the operation was carried out peacefully.

Welcoming the administration's move, locals stated that removing encroachments from the NH would provide relief from the frequent traffic jams in Kayamnagar market. Residents also demanded that the roadside fish market be relocated to a designated area to further improve traffic flow.
